Revolt TV, canale televisivo di Diddy, in occasione del decennale della pubblicazione di The Black Album di Jay-Z, ha intervistato Just Blaze e 9th Wonder, due icone del beatmaking statunitense che hanno dato il loro contributo alla produzione dell'album.

Just Blaze ha parlato della produzione di Interlude: "I wanted it to feel like spacey like you are about to be on the verge of something different. I didn’t want the intro to be super loud and boisterous. I wanted it to be something that you could zone out, too. I wrote the dialogue, the talking, I changed my voice up. Same as I did on 'PSA.' I think I said something about trees or flowers growing in Brooklyn. I don’t know, it sounded good at the time. I don’t even remember [all] the words."
